Journal Entry 16 May 2009: Restarted - Press On
Scripture: Acts 8:1-8
4Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. 5Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ[a]there.
Observation
This passage always strikes me at the same place. That it's always the response that they did not hesistate to preach the word wherever they went. It was a complete paradigm shift that they may have fled for their lives, but still preached the word which was the very reason for the persecution.
Application
I choose to be thick-skinned when the Gospel needs to be shared, for who knows your word is always planting a seed of hope to a searching unbeliever.Your acts, words, works and service counts largely on the faith you act out.
Response
Lord help me be like the apostles each day. Never wavering or swayering from the course.
